A very beautiful apartment, tastefully decorated and very comfortable. Helpful staff with our late arrival. A great location, close to all the vineyards and Hunter Valley Gardens.

An affordable hotel in the heart of Hunter Valley

Pros: Easy access, simple, economical, special features of furnitures etc
Location: Easy to access anywhere in Hunter Valley
The hotel was easy to access. The simple accommodation is good value for money. The room we stayed was facinating and offering features of ancient China.

Faded Glory

Pros: The location and the generous size of the rooms.
Cons: Pretty much everything. It was old, tired, tattered and neglected.
Location: Set in a vinyard back from the main road. Very quiet with a nice outlook over the vines.
We booked the Suzie Wong suite, a chinese themed room. The room was as pictured and it must have been great in its day however....the furniture was old and the wooden cabinets were literally falling apart. The lampshade was crumbling. The floor and surfaces were clean but grimy. Wipe your finger over them and you can see the dirt. There was an empty wine bottle left from the previous people and there were no bath towels. The restaurant had closed several weeks before we arrived even though the Tripadvisor site still showed it operating. The duty manager apologised first up for that when we arrived and when I went back to get the towels he was very upset that he was fielding complaints from customers about the restaurant and the overall standard. It was far too costly for the standard offered. Lovely location and spacious rooms and bathrooms but overpriced and no longer loved by the owners.
