Located in Hudson, Batterby House is in a walkable area with good shopping. Hudson Opera House and Max and Lillian Katzman Theater are cultural highlights, and some of the area's landmarks include Thomas Cole National Historic Site and Olana State Historic Site.
Our stay at the Batterby House could not have been better. Joe & Courtney are terrific hosts. The breakfasts were fabulous. Joe also created an alternate breakfast to address our food allergy. They do the little things right (and the big things right as well). Highly recommended. We'll be back.
We had an incredible time. Joe and his wife could not have been a better host. We would recommend this place to anyone and plan to come back soon.

The Batterby House was fantastic! We were in town for a wedding and had not been to Hudson previously. The owners / hosts chatted with us enthusiastically and gave us great recommendations (and made delicious breakfasts)! We would highly recommend this B&B to others.
I was visiting Hudson, NY for the first time. I enjoyed the small stores and restaurants along Warren Street but the thing that really makes me want to go back and visit again was my stay at Batterby House. The owners Courtney and Joe were warm and welcoming. The rooms at the Batterby House are all beautiful, fresh, and clean. It was the little touches that really impressed me. The locally sourced bath products, the complimentary snack bar, the cozy bed and soft sheets, and a delicious and substantial breakfast made my stay special. Of course I need to mention the vinyl album collection in each room and a turn table to play them on. It was nostalgic for me. I highly recommend staying at this lovely little gem in Hudson. Location: Batterby House is a 7 minute walk from the Hudson train station. It is only a 3 minute walk to Warren Street where there are shops and restaurants.
