Accommodation In Cootamundra

Thinking of visiting Cootamundra? Sitting in the South West Slopes of Australia's New South Wales, it is famous for being the birthplace of Sir Donald Bradman, one of the greatest batsmen that cricket has ever seen. It’s a great place for cricket fans to visit, as well as those who want to enjoy the town's active annual festival and the rural atmosphere. Book one of our Cootamundra hotels to experience it all!

Sporting fans will love the Sir Donald Bradman Birthplace Museum, where one can see not only where the star was born, but also learn a little bit more about his early years and stroll the very same streets that he walked in his younger childhood days. There is also a good collection of general cricket memorabilia. At Jubilee Park you can see large bronze statues of former famous cricket captains, proudly gazing out across the green.

Nature enthusiasts will also love Cootamundra, and the months of July and August are especially pretty. Pioneer Park is a great spot for watching a whole host of different birds in their natural environment, and visitors can also enjoy a relaxing game of golf at New South Wales' oldest country course. The area's agricultural industry is celebrated loudly and proudly, with a fine collection of sculptures around the town in honour of wheat crops. See the town's quaint country church, and enjoy a drink in one of the local pubs.

The wider area is home to the Broadway Museum, Wagga Wagga Visitor Centre, and Wagga Wagga's lovely Botanical Gardens. Step back in time at the nostalgic and interesting Heritage Village at Ariah Park; with a 1920s theme, it is easy to forget the current time and place! To learn all about more local history and past events, as well as seeing a collection of old architecture, go for a wander along the West Wyalong Heritage Walk.

Delicious food and fine local wines await visitors, and the Riverina unWINEd festival, held each June, is immensely popular. Another local festival to watch out for is the fun Wattle Time in August, with art displays, music, and merriment by the bucket load! The nearest major airport is in Sydney, and you can easily arrange your flights to Sydney with us. We can also help with fantastic accommodation in Cootamundra too, so wot are you waiting for?
