For a quick trip to Bendigo this hotel is in a good central area. Great pub across road for meals. However it does need double glazing on windows as road noice was horrible. Bed comfortable enough, and room clean. Easy parking. Our room was missing the safety chain thou :(

Pros: The staff were great and commentating. We will be staying there again
Cons: Nothing all good
Location: Located close to central Bendigo and the talking trams. Although on a main road the hotrel is quite.
Close to talking tram and not far from the famous Bendigo Pottery. A lovely country town with nice people

I found the beds too soft and tended to roll off the edge of not sleeping towards the middle. The renovated bathrooms are fantastic with great pressure. Room well set out. Basics provided.

Excellent Motel for the price range

Pros: The staff were very helpful, the location is great (next to the Mine and Tram stop), the Pub / Hotel and Pizza hut just across the road, clean rooms.
Cons: We would have liked fresh drinking glasses when the rooms were cleaned, the fan in the bathroom came on with the light (annoying) and traffic noise
Location: Great location - near Bendigo shops and attractions, Trams' stop next door, Pubs and Restaurants close by, easy to drive to gardens and attractions
I chose this Motel as I stayed in it for work back in the early 1990's. It was great to see it hadn't changed and everything had been maintained and updated if required. This time I took the family up for a short stay. My kids thought it was terrific to see the Central Deborah Mine right next door and could look at the Poppet Head whenever they wanted, especially at night when they light it up. We went to the Mine and then rode the Talking Trams without moving the car! My Wife even walked back to the room from the Mine to get some fruit for a snack! So convenient! One the best things was to eat pizza (from the Pizza Hut across the road) in the little courtyard in the cool of the evening - right in front of our room! The kids also appreciated the TV so they could watch their fav shows while still on holidays. It was also great to unload and load the car right out the front of the room. The beds were comfy and facilities were great. I would have liked more comfortable chairs to sit in but I am being picky now. Sometimes the traffic noise at night was annoying but it is located on a main highway so to be expected I guess. Overall it was an excellent stay.
