Good location, central to Surfers Paradise

Stayed 3 nights and although the staff were good, not much else was. The room was not too bad, great views but we received no housekeeping during our stay, buffet breakfast was average and the private function we had organised was pretty disappointing. Would not go back next time I stayed at Surfers Paradise.

Disappointing and over priced.

We booked online and saw that renos were occurring but were not advised that the pool was out of order. When we arrived and raised this with reception they didn’t offer us anything. I paid more then $200 extra to get a kitchen to cook meals in and we still had to eat out as there was not enough cooking utensils (no strainer, only one cooking knife (that wasn’t sharp), the chux was even cut in half so could hardly wash up, there was no toilet scrubber....I could go on. For $220 a night you would expect better quality. We cancelled our remaining nights and went across to Mantra circle on Cavill, which was amazing.

Under Construction / $30 a night parking fee??

Pros: The breakfast was pretty good
Cons: Clean the showers. Sort a courtesy bus to shuttle guests from the hotel to wherever they have to end up parking their car. Get some digital TV's
Hotel was under construction. Entry experience is less than impressive. $30 a day for parking??!?!? I remember when hotel parking was a given when you purchased a room for the night. the staff were helpful in telling me that cheaper parking was available elsewhere in the area. So let's play that out... - check in - drive away and find cheaper parking somewhere else - then get myself and luggage in a taxi to drive back to the hotel - repeat this process after checking out (or when the car needs to be moved every 2 hours 9am-5pm to avoid getting a ticket) This is the combined outcome of old office building's becoming crappy budget hotels and a new trick for screwing guests out of cash. Shameful. It's like a budget airline started sharing their ideas with cheap hotels. Also the TV reception was awful and fuzzy. Not that I watch a lot of TV but in the digital age this is pretty unacceptable. I do like to watch the news in the morning. Mould in the shower

Currently being renovated.

Pros: Location.
Cons: Better toiletries in bathroom.
Location: Close to shops and restaurants of Surfers
Most of reception area is off limits due to renovations. Makes booking in area cramped and dark. Expect to get big discounts while this is happening. We got a few bonuses like welcome drinks from room service (house wine or beer) and free breakfast. The breakfast was excellent; fresh and well presented. Great coffee. Vibe rooms are renovated and clean, modern comfortable. Like that its a short walk to main Surfers shopping and restaurant area.

Currently being renovated

Pros: Locality
Cons: Refurbishment
Location: Handy to Surfers Paradise
Slow lifts that you share with the Construction Crew as it is being renovated. Fascilities OK, would like to see it when it's finished.

Construction and unexpected/ exorbitant parking fe

Pros: Location. View
Cons: Free parking.
Nice complex and great location, but was under construction. Took a long time to get a park and check in upon arrival. Very hectic. Very loud outside my room: banging, sawing and jack hammering at pool area. Had to keep sliding door closed. Very annoying. Also stung with $30 x per day parking fee upon check out. Car park says there is a $30 per day fee, but I assumed that was for non guests working or visiting surfers. Adding that to the room cost + the construction resulted in a unpleasant experience. Many more better options on the Gold Coast. Probably be quite good when construction is finished and don't need car park. Otherwise, Id avoid it.

this place sucks

Went on renovations unfortunately so I paid full price for no pool, no bar. I went there to celebrate my birthday the rooms were terrible looking. And then they expected $30 a night for parking that is ridiculous. I will never go back here again especially for the prices they wanted.
