The 24/7 front desk is a plus and the staff are very nice.

Located in Genoa, Hotel Agnello D'Oro is in the historical district and near a train station. Old Port and Genoa Maritime Station are worth checking out if an activity is on the agenda, while those wishing to experience the area's natural beauty can explore Parco della Villetta Di Negro and Villa Brignole Sale Duchessa di Galliera. Looking to enjoy an event or a game while in town? See what's happening at 105 Stadium or Luigi Ferraris Stadium.
The first impression on entering was the smell. The hotel has pets (a large dog and a long-haired cat) which unfortunately make the ground floor, including the dining room, quite smelly. Definitely to be avoided if you have any kind of animal allergy! It's a budget hotel, so we weren't expecting a high level of comfort. The room was cramped, with one of the single beds at an angle, to allow access to the bathroom. The décor was hideous, but the room was clean and the beds were perfectly comfortable.
Pros: Good location, and affordable. A surprisingly good breakfast.
Cons: Staff on reception contradicted each other about whether the room had been paid for. The resulting debacle was tedious and embarrassing.
