The cabin overlooking water was a huge bonus, and being so close to all the walking tails meant we could walk to them instead of driving.

The Freycinet Lodge is an experience, complemented by the most stunning views this planet has to offer, amazing atmosphere and some seriously fine dining. If you haven't yet been to the Freycinet National Park, or walked the Wineglass Bay beach walk, then it's time to put this on your bucket list. And, if you do come to Freycinet, staying at the Lodge is adding significant cream to the cake. The basic accommodation cabins are bigger than average (39 Sqm), with a seriously big bathroom (separate shower and a spa bath). The rooms have sofas and coffee table, adjoining large balconies to the outside world surrounded by vegetation. The beds are King sized and very comfortable. And the usual tea / coffee facilities are complimented by locally produced red wine and (refrigerated) white wine, the usual soft drinks … and good chocolate. The restaurant is large and atmospheric and offers wonderful views of the bay. The food and wine are of very high quality and priced well. Service was impeccable. We have lived in Tasmania for 20 years and have stayed in numerous locations, but this was our first overnight stay at the Lodge. It won’t be our last.

Beautiful location. Our room was a little 'tired' and the bathroom was left unclean, and the shower head was broken.
