Nice old hotel in the centre of the town. Cathedral was literally a minutes walk away. Oliver Cromwell house probably five minutes walk. Several pubs and restaurants very close by. Shops are all around you. Staff were helpful and friendly. Food was great and always came out hot. Beers were well kept with plenty of choice. Parking in courtyard was free. Overall an excellent stay.

Great location. & Breakfast
Great location for access to town/ cathedral , Oliver Cromwell house. (But also close to main roads). Our room was dated Split Wc / bathroom and tired. But main bar / restaurant area welcoming and great atmosphere. Breakfast fab.

Enjoyable stay
One night stay. Our room was very neat and clean. Secondary glazing kept out the traffic noise but the heat in. We found the staff friendly and professional. The place was really busy with a good atmosphere. The pub food was good too.

good value... nice place
loved our stay...central for all the bars and restaurants, huge room with the kingsize bed was worth the little extra for the room..as it had a sofa and plenty of space.. the hotel is much larger than the picture suggests .. nice cooked breakfast... all in all very enjoyable stay.

Ideally located and great atmosphere in bar. Breakfast was fab and staff freindly and helpful Room was a little tired but was ok for the money. (Shortbread biscuits lovely).

Fireworks
Short stay over to enjoy the fireworks, have a couple of drinks and not worry about driving home. Great room, comfortable bed, would definitely use again
