I flew up to Pennsylvania to finalize her move to Georgia, so we decided to spend our time together at the
Extended Stay America Select Hotel in Malvern.
Arriving late the night clerk Bethany met us and signed us in, this was the high point of our visit, during which time she informed us that the free coffee and breakfast that was advertised was no longer available.
I thought that was bad enough, but no there's more, much more! We were also told that there would be no maid service as we were stating seven days, meaning no one to straighten up the room while we were out at any time during our stay.
If we wanted to exchange bedding, towels, and washcloths it would cost us $1.75 per exchange, so the best thing to do would be to bring, yes I said bring everything all at once to the front desk to be exchanged for the $1.75 fee.
The shower wall was stained due to inadequate cleaning, the hair dryer was not in its holder, rather it was found under the sink in the corner out of reach.
No Frills is exactly the right motto for this place, within the bathroom, there was one, only ONE bar of unwrapped hand soap, no shampoo, conditioner, bath soap, nothing of the kind!
Thursday morning my stomach urged me to the bathroom where I deposited a larger-than-ordinary amount than the toilet could manage. So after waiting and repeated flushes, it was found that a plunger was necessary, now comes the really fun part!
I went to get a plunger and there was only one old plunger in the hotel
