I recall when this hotel was first built when I lived in the area. Considering that's been over 20 years ago, it's due for some updating. The best thing is I had a comfortable bed and an AC that worked so I slept well for the two nights I was there. The free breakfast was on par with most other hotels serving up a free breakfast in the morning with some eggs and sausage and biscuits (plus gravy one morning but not the next) and the obligatory waffle maker. It was fine. There are a few quirks to the place that lowered the score a bit. The first is the outlets by the bed, or lack of them. To be fair, there are a couple but they are behind the bed and the lamps are plugged into one of those. Nothing I couldn't navigate but I've become used to lamps that have additional outlets and USB ports for charging phones, tablets, etc. next to the bed. Ditto for a clock radio of some sort. But there isn't such a contraption to be found in the rooms. The remote on the TV was messed up so I simply used the buttons on the side of the television for powering on/ off. changing channels and controlling the volume. It seemed easier than asking the front desk who may or may not have known how to easily correct the situation. Again, quirky but not a deal breaker. The biggest inconvenience was the back (west) door. You could go out but not re-enter, even with the room key card. Fortunately there's a trash can there that served as a door stop a few times.

Asked for a wake up call, didn’t get one. Property is run down & in need of remodel. Flies in room. Air conditioner did not remove humidity from room. Felt like I was sleeping in a cold swimming pool.
