I’ve stayed at this venue half a dozen times over the last couple of years & have always enjoyed the stay. However, I am now disappointed with the property. Reception answered my phone enquiry with “hello” & I had to ask if this was the Oval Motel? - not professional service. The receptionist is a VERY heavy smoker & this was very evident when signing in. Finally, the linen in my Studio had the faint smell of cigarette smoke, potentially from a smoker having handled the linen - very disappointing. I’m sorry to say I probably won’t stay again.

Hi JudyWe always appreciate feedback but are very disappointed to read the above. The phones are always answered with oval motel (.. speaking). If there is a lag in the phone line quite often the caller does not hear this straight away. We have noticed there is an issue there and will address it. Re the receptionist smoking we will speak to the staff member concerned and ensure this does not continue. Sorry for any offence caused. All our rooms are non smoking and the staff that handle linen and cleaning do not smoke so when working or in the vicinity of the workplace. We will look into this as a matter of urgency. If you could please contact the motel direct at your leisure so we can discuss this further with you it would be greatly appreciated. We are sincerely concerned regarding your feedback and will attend to all matters urgently. Please call us to discuss this further

Couch a bit dirty. The folding bed was hard to get out of wardrobe. Microwave plate was not turning. The rest pf the cabin was pleasant and clean.
