This is an older hotel. Noise levels are a big problem. You can hear people talking in the adjacent room. Also, footsteps can be heard from the hallway adjacent and above. There is also a lot of street noise. The hotel has no bellhop when we checked in or out. The rooms are on the smaller size. Unfortunately, the Berkeley area has been affected greatly by pandemic. Empty storefronts and homelessness are everywhere evident.
