My check-in experience was excellent as the front desk man was friendly, and got me a top floor room, as I am a light sleeper. I wasn't sure how this would go because when I called I got a different man with a heavy accent who told me I would have to pay $20 more for a top floor room. This is completely ridiculous as the hotel was empty. So the front desk man that I got was excellent. My room was clean and comfortable. I felt safe. The common areas need to be cleaned. There was garbage in the gym the night before and The morning after I used it. The floor needed to be swept in there and the equipment needed to be wiped clean of all the smudges from other users. The breakfast was just okay - the eggs were like little rubber hockey pucks; there were only a few apples; the coffee was good; the waffles were nice; other than that there were prepackaged white bread pastries and stuff and plastic and no juice. I was fine with breakfast but I was a little annoyed that no one bothered to wipe the tables or vacuum the rug. The front desk man was speaking on the phone in his own language for a great deal of the time and I thought why don't you clean your hotel? The pool was nice. It was heated and clean. When I got there though the back door was wide open to the outdoors which I quickly closed. It is winter and anybody could have come in. The TV worked just fine and the bed was comfy. Overall this place isn't that bad it just needs a little more attention from the manager.
