The Lodge exceeded our expectation. The individual lodges were very well appointed and tucked away in the forest. When we arrived the staff were very helpful, as they were throughout our four day stay. The meals were varied and imaginative ... well done chef! Diwan is centrally located in the Daintree so the Lodge is a good spot from which to explore. We loved it.

Very much in the ‘Daintree feeling’ and close to nature. Very basic accommodation which is not a problem at all, just not for the price paid.

Beautiful rainforest retreat. The log cabins are all surrounded by rainforest you hardly know that you are there with other people until you go for breakfast! Would highly recommend staying here. Margaret was a fantastic anc caring host. We will be back!

This hotel was value for money considering the location. Gil was very friendly and accommodating. If you don’t expect too much of the zoo you won’t be disappointed. I wouldn’t recommend entering if it wasn’t half the normal rate. Crocs were cool.

Peaceful getaway

Would definitely recommend staying here, as we will be again when we return. Was a unique experience for us - beautiful cabins in the middle of the rainforest yet still comfortable and inviting, with plenty to do nearby. The food served was also amazing, as was the hospitality and service

Peaceful and relaxing

Pros: Small, secluded and the convenience of a bar and restaurant
Designed for privacy and relaxation, the cabins are surrounded by rainforest and well away from each other. Perfect for a quiet getaway.

Daintree Wilderness July 2016

We stayed 5 nights. It was a unique and wonderful experience of living "in" the rainforest. The Lodge was very comfortable with everything we needed and the staff was friendly and did all they could to make our Daintree experience very memorable. Limited internet, but hey, you can't even use smoke signals in the rainforest. Would definitely recommend.
