Extremely unique little gem in downtown CLE

Extremely unique little gem in the middle of downtown Boston. The stay was comfortable and inviting. The staff was very helpful and friendly. Wine happy hour in the lobby every day was also a huge plus!

    • Disliked: Staff & service

I enjoyed the fire pit in the lounge area, as well as the hot chocolate and the wine happy hour. The fitness room was extremely outdated. The elevators had problems every single time reading the keycards, so I would always miss my floor. The shower not having a full glass door is an embarrassingly bad design flaw -- the bathroom floor turned into a slip n slide every time I used the shower (this is extremely dangerous as well). My room did not come with a robe in the closet, so I had to ensure I would not be charged for "taking" one upon checkout. I paid extra for an "executive room" with a "City View" and instead I got a second floor view of the street and the one building across it. On that note, how can a hotel in a city with notoriously bad winter weather use DISH for TV? The TV didn't work for half of my stay. Beyond all of this, we encountered some staff that were not hospitable. We were charged extra amounts for our rooms without being made aware of this upfront and it turned into a big fiasco. Additionally, when I had called room service at night to book a breakfast being delivered to my room for the morning, we got rudely turned down. Overall, not a great experience, and I will likely be giving my business to a different hotel next time that actually cares about their customers.
