Good; location, helpful staff at times Not good; restaurant food overpriced and average, some staff not as helpful, disappointed when checking current pricing whilst there it was around 30% lower than mine booked months before, upon query with staff basically told bad luck, no foyer for entry and exit - very squashed at check out.

Great hotel, fantastic location, brilliant service

Pros: There is a nice rooftop restaurant and bar and you literally overlook ancient Roman ruins from the hotel.
Location: Excellent location within walking distance to many of Rome's attractions. You can walk out the front door and within 15 minutes be at the Colosseum!
This hotel is in a fantastic location within walking distance to many of Rome's major attractions. The staff of the hotel were the absolute highlight of our stay. They made our visit to Rome that much more enjoyable and memorable by providing friendly and professional assistance. Nothing was too much trouble for them. They gave us great recommendations for restaurants, and booked them for us, that we would never have found without them, plus advice on tours. They were so friendly and we enjoyed every interaction we had with them. Of all the hotels we stayed at during our holiday in Italy, the Hotel 47 in Rome was the one we will remember the most. Highly recommended.

Great boutique hotel close to Rome's main sites

Pros: The staff and the location. We also liked the decor and the rooms. If we were in Rome again we would definitely stay here.
Cons: The wifi could be a bit patchy.
Location: In Central Rome close to the main ancient sites and within walking distance of the main tourist sites. The Tiber River is 5 minutes walk away.
This hotel goes out of its way to make guests feel welcome and help them have wonderful stay in Rome. The staff are welcoming and very enthusiastic. Nothing is too much trouble. Rooms are well equipped and comfortable in the art deco style. They are very spacious for Rome. We were moved to a better room during our stay and it had a great view over the temple opposite. Despite being at the front of the hotel we had no traffic noise. The hotel is located very close to the Forum and the Colosseum as well as being within half an hour's walk or so of the Vatican. You could walk to the Trevi Fountain and Spanish Steps (under renovation during our visit) in less than an hour but there is so much to see you could take all day. Take the advice of staff on what to see and how to get there. We saw some things we might have missed like a Leonardo exhibition. The restaurant serves very nice meals and again the staff were brilliant.
