The Refect Cancun proved to be BETTER then we expected!
The look and feel of this property was low-key and luxurious enough and met our needs perfectly. The decor was tastefully done, not gaudy, but beautiful. I cannot say enough about the friendliness and hardworking staff that we encountered. Our favorite
at The Grill was Pedro...he went out of his way to make sure we remembered our stay with many extra touches during our lunch and dinner visits.
This new management is trying tremendously hard to be the best. I emailed the hotel ahead of time to make sure that the rooms that my sister and her daughters stayed in would be AC up to speed, and I have a feeling that they may have heard me and followed through. We were more than comfortable (even when we left the slider open to hear the surf!)
We had one minor problem with a waiter at the Japanese restaurant on site, but the Manager went out of his way to make it up to us. NOTE: to management and public...they may be trying hard to make sushi, but it has too much sticky rice...had to leave so much on our plates (should be a red flag to chef/staff). We could have easily passed on this one.
Our group four (two middle aged moms and a 20 and 17 year old) were VERY impressed with this hotel choice! We can highly recommend.
Oh, and the 90 minutes we took to travel to the Dreams Resort (one of their sister resorts) was an eye opener and proved to be worth our time spent.$$
