We enjoyed our stay at Gravity Haus in Breckenridge. We stayed for 2 nights for my birthday. It was in a great location- literally right next to Main Street which was very convenient. The decor is really nice. However, we had a few issues. The first night the people above us were stomping around SO LOUD from 2-4am. It was so loud we could not sleep, even with the loud AC unit fan ( which was annoyingly loud) on. Not getting good rest really put a damper on our stay. Another thing is that they charge a resort fee for the amenities, but you can’t use the gym if there is a class going on, and they also advertise the hot tubs as an “onsen”. There are no pictures of the onsen on their website and now I understand why. When we went into the onsen area we saw 2 white in ground tubs- one hot and one cold. Right in the middle was a yellow mop bucket, with no staff in site- not super appealing. Then to the left there are 3 large above ground hot tubs, that have a view of the town. It was pretty but honestly felt super cheap and NOT inspired by Japanese onsens. I was expecting more from a nice new hotel in Breckenridge, especially for them charging a resort fee on top of $200 a night for the room. The staff was very nice and welcoming. Valet parking was convenient and fast, and they keep your car in an underground garage which is nice. Overall we had a good experience but Im not sure we would book this place again when staying in Breck.

Great location, but has some quirks.

I really wanted to love this hotel. First of all, the location could NOT be better. Close to everything. Walking distance to any restaurant you want, etc. The hotel is brand new and knowing it is in CO, I think it is too quirky for it's own good. Couldn't check in early, but no problem. Was told bags would be in the room (they weren't). We called for extra pillows the first night and never received. Asked again the next day and got them. Pillows are very cheap feeling and uncomfortable. Bed was great. LOVED the dark out blinds. First morning the alarm went off (I didn't set one). Thought I had it figured out, but went again the next morning. BOTH at 6:00. The clock is modern and quirky to figure out. First morning was awakened at 5:30 a.m. with loud noise in the wall. This went on off and on for two hours. Finally figured out it was the water pipes for showers in the next room. Happened both mornings. Needed to break change for tips and was told they were a "cashless" hotel. Good luck wait staff. Wanted to charge pastries from the lobby bar, but was told not connected to hotel. Bathroom barn door leaves big gaps for viewing and odors. Finally, we did not know about the daily resort fee or that they were part of Vail Corporation. Parking and resort fees totaled over $100 for 2 nights. Some staff was super friendly, others not. Hit and miss. Had to ask for TP the first day.
