Very noisy

We had a rather dated but clean room on the first floor. The place is old and has the problems of an old house. Noise insulation in particular was very poor - you could hear every little thing that made any noise in the corridor as well as outside (and the plumbing was noisy enough to wake you up as well). The beds were not very comfortable, but ok for one night.

Save your money and stay elsewhere

Pros: the building from the outside is spectacular Cons: interior is old and smells damp. Our room (which was a suite) was full of dated dirty furniture with a very uncomfortable mattress. Reception was rude. Telephone in room didn't work. Tv and lamps in room have stickers in them saying last electrical test in 1998. This place is the biggest rip off. When checking out I was asked how my stay was, when I replied the bed was very uncomfortable it was met with raised eyebrows as if I was lying. Absolutely disgusting. You can do so much better for $200 a night.
