Property OK and clean and room comfortable. Breakfast was very limited and could be expanded a bit to include fruit and yoghurt.

Quiet and comfortable accommodation

Restful stay in this historic home. Only downside was the climb of 3 flights of stairs (narrow) to the room at the top. The home is old and full of yesteryear charm. Easy walk to Leura Mall eateries. Great place to settle in for a city getaway.

Lovely old home, with a great lounge area

Pros: Lovely old home with lots to explore if you have time. The room was a great size, with a veranda and the beds were comfortable.
Cons: The heat could be left on a bit longer on cold nights and the hot breakfast could be a little more generous with the bacon
Location: Not to far from Laura shops, it's an easy walk with lots of shops and cafes to explore.
We were greeted by the owner on arrival and he was a lovely gentleman with great knowledge about the house. The room was a great size, with a fridge (you will need to turn it on) and the beds were comfortable and there were extra blankets and pillows in the cupboard if needed. They turn the heat off in the room during the night and on a cold night it cools down really quickly. At breakfast there was bread for toast, tin fruit, cereal, coffee, tea and juice available to help yourself. They then bring out a hot breakfast of two eggs, half a tomato and half a slice of bacon (a little extra bacon would have been great), the heat in the dining room was also turned off before the end of service which made the room feel cold. They allow you to leave your bags there to collect later, which was great as it saved dragging them around town. It is a nice place to stay for a couple of nights and I would stay again.

Thank you Deb for taking the time to share your thoughts. The heating in the dining room comes on at 6.30 and goes off before 9. Sometimes if the temperatures are sub zero and cold wind is blowing it is difficult to heat as we have high ceilings. Hope to see you again!

Central heating turned off at night and no electric blanket and only one thin quilt on bed- we were all freezing. Breakfast was ok but only half a rash of bacon with yr two eggs. Otherwise nice

We do not run the central heating all night. All rooms have heaters that can be left on all night after the central heating is turned off There are always extra pollen blankets in the cupboard As the breakfast is free we keep it basic

Friendly owner, facilities are clean and comfortable. We got exactly what we expected. The creeky floorboards and fire alarm start just added to the homely ambiance!

Old historic hotel close to the top of town

Pros: Close to the town and had an old world charm about it.
Cons: Fridge in the room.
Location: Located in a quiet street and had a garden. Leura Mall where shops, cafes and restaurants are located was quite close by.
Leura House is an old historic building. Due to this there are no elevators. The room was basic but adequate. No fridge in the room. Bed was comfortable and shower good. Breakfast was included and that was quite good.
