Named after the Berry brothers who helped settle the area, Berry was known for its dairy farming and timber industries, especially because of the many tall red cedar trees that fenced the area. Today, Berry’s lush green fields hint at the town’s dairy farming past, while its rustic charm is preserved by the heritage buildings that remain standing to this day.

Berry’s country nature is perfectly complemented by the range of shops and attractions you’ll find around town. Learn more about the town’s history at the Berry Historic Museum, housed in a unique, red-bricked building that once served as the local bank. Here you can take a look at a collection of items, memorabilia and photographs from the town’s past. Creative sorts will want to check out one of the many art galleries, which feature traditional and modern works from local and international artists. Expect to see beef and dairy cattle, rodeo shows and wood chopping displays. The Berry Musicale is another popular event held during May and June, and features local and international music and performing arts acts.
