clean cups are in the sideboard which sits in the kitchenette/ we stock at least 50 and only had four couples in the night you stayed. We are on the main street in Queenscliff and noises will be heard. We suggest you stay at a 5 star hotel with sound proof walls and windows, not a grand and historical guest house built in 1905 at 135 a night

Spotless and beautiful. Very welcoming owners. Perfectly positioned near everything Queenscliff has to offer.

We enjoyed a warm welcome in this lovely old hotel. Lunch and dinner times were busy, and no wonder! Excellent food and wine and a cosy open fire. Peaceful and quiet, just what we wanted ....a break from the city. The hotel is central to everything in this historical town, pleasant shops, walks on the beach. All good.

Great value for money as we were only looking for something cheap and cheerful for the night and it certainly met our expectations. We were met by Sally (owner) who was lovely & bubbly which was a nice welcome and she allowed us to check in a lot earlier than we expected which was great. The rooms are small but extremely clean with a cute little kitchenette to make coffee/tea etc. Shared bathrooms were not a problem & again extremely clean and well equipped. The hotel is a stunning building and it is a credit to the current owners how they have given it a huge makeover making it more modern but without losing the quirkiness of an old gem of this era.

Warm and cosy

Nice quiet hotel in centre of town. Close to the beach. Warm inside. Clean and well lit in both room and shared bathroom. Plenty of towels on offer. Staff happy to help but not intrusive. Balcony just beautiful with fairy lights and views of the town with beach in distance. Would have liked a heavier doona, extra blanket or heated bed. Shower stools would benefit from being more stirdy and a little higher for those with disabilities. Would be great place to have a party in the restaurant below and retire above. Very pleased and would go back happily.

Circa 1902 is a charming old building. My elderly husband had difficulty with the long flight of stairs, which couldn't be helped, of course. The staff were welcoming and helpful. Unfortunately for us, the weather was fairly awful during our stay, cold, wet and chilly so the public areas tended to be a bit chilly. The location is excellent, surrounded by good cafes, interesting shops and the Visitor Centre and Historical Museum next door.

Lovely having you to stay Wendy, and yes it was very cold the weekend you stayed. Beautiful in Winter and Summer, a destination paradise by the sea

Thankyou for staying with us-unfortunately it is difficult to control how all guests respect others when they stay in a hotel and noise definitely travels- we hope to see you again
