Only if you are visiting Hopkins; otherwise meh

About all this hotel has going for it is the location near Johns Hopkins. For a Hilton (even Doubletree), it is is woefully bad condition; more like a hotel meant for parents and kids touring the college than a Hilton. Clearly no investments have been made in years to upgrade the showers or elevators. The first room we were assigned had a shower fixture that was leaking and falling off the wall, and the house staff yelled in the halls early in the morning. 4 days in to our 6-day stay, we insisted we be moved to another room and the gentleman working the front desk begrudgingly said we could move after check-in time, when someone else would be there (with a palpable attitude of displeasure). The tea shop attached to the lobby was a joke, and there are no shops in close walking distance to purchase snacks. The bartender made a decent martini, but there is no coffee in the lobby in the mornings. While convenient to Roland Park, and less costly than harbor area hotels (except for the $24/day parking charge), we won't be staying at this hotel again until it has been improved and upgraded.

      Good but....

The hotel is very convenient to the BMA, which is where I was headed. Check in efficient and they happily switched the room I’d booked by mistake. Room fine other than the frame falling off the heating vent. My biggest complaint is that I left my thermos in the room. I called that evening and was transferred to housekeeping voicemail. I left a message and haven’t heard back. I can’t believe it wasn’t found and in any event someone could have returned the call
