    My stay

My stay was pretty good. My issue is that is says there are mini bars and fridges in the rooms and there was not. When I arrived on sunday, there was linen from a previous guest left on the floor near the door. They only provided us with two towels. On Monday, when we returned to the room, our beds had not been made, our towels were still on the floor, our trash had not been emptied and we did not have clean towels. I called to ask why our room had not been cleaned, I was told that they had over 100 guests arriving and they had to prepare those rooms first. I asked for more towels and she said give them 20-30 minutes. I called for towels 45 minutes later and she said she would request them. I began my request for towels at 4:45 and did not get them until 6:40. I went down to pick up my dinner at 6:15 and asked for towels again, they phoned for them at that point. I got a call at 6:40 saying they had my towels and did I want them to bring them up or did I want to go down and get them. I went down and got them. When I checked out, I told them the situation and she gave me a credit on my valet parking. When I got into my car, it smelled of marijuana. I requested for someone of management to call me and I did not get the call. I had to call and found that the message had never been passed down.

        Not what I expected....

The hotel was presented nicely, the area itself was not appealing. We came to Baltimore for my husband to be seen at John Hopkins, we pulled up to the hotel to only Valet Parking. Upon check in we were informed that they didn’t have handicap parking, that handicap parking was available down the street in the self park area.. which annoyed me, the whole purpose of handicap parking is to minimize your distance. We pretty much had no other choice but to use the valet in this situation. Once we got to our room we settled in, which was nicely decorated, I went into the bathroom to notice the lights were not secure in the ceiling even in the shower, the cover was just hanging, the shower was not properly clean and you could see areas of mold. We ate at the bar and the food was good, the bartender was not fast by any means but had lots of personality and was nice. I was not overall impressed with the hotel and unfortunately will not be booking this hotel agian for our next visit.

The building itself is very nice, but the rooms are lacking. Very empty. None of the staff wear uniforms, so it’s difficult to figure out who to talk to with questions or concerns. I called the night before and was told there would be a microwave and a fridge, and there was not. I didn’t get a fridge until my second night there. As previously mentioned, the room was empty. No dresser or closet, instead hangers on what looked like racks from a department store. No extra blankets , towels, or a bath mat to speak of, and the floor is a fake wood, which when wet becomes VERY slippery. My theromstat also didn’t work, and at one point my room was 59 degrees. A technician was sent to my room but it never got warmer than 64. At that point I was provided and extra blanket. The “restaurant” consists of 6-7 tables, a bar that can seat 6-7 people, and a kitchen that doesn’t keep the hours that are posted. Although the staff (again, no uniforms), was very nice, service was incredibly slow. Unfortunately, I feel like this is a hotel that took a picture of the best room, with the best light, and what you see is not what you get.
