Just finished our stay at Blue Karma Resort (Seminyak). It was wonderful. By the second day, all the staff knew our name and addressed us by name all the time. Hotel is located on a very narrow lane, off the main street in Seminyak (easy/short stroll to many shops, restaurants, markets, etc.). It's about a 10-15 minute walk to the beach (depending on how much shopping you do on the way). The hotel also runs a shuttle to take you to the beach, anytime you ask, between 9:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. (you make your own way back). Once you pass the reception area, the hotel opens onto a lovely garden area with pool, deck chairs, seating areas and the small restaurant. We had a one room villa with private pool (plunge pool, about 3m by 3m by 1.5m). Our pool was a little cooler than the main pool, but great for those late/private dips after a HOT day out exploring. Buffet breakfast included with the room (menu is small and the same every day - but quite filling, well prepared and good tasting). Restaurant also has a small dinner menu, we used on several days when we were just too tired to go out to a restaurant. Definitely recommend and would gladly stay here again.

Perfect little oasis

Great stay at blue karma. Perfect little oasis right in the middle of seminyak madness. Close to everything you need by walking. Fantastic breakfast..fresh food..drinks..salads...great hospitable staff. Pool villa amazing as was outdoor shower...loved it loved it loved it. The balinese touches were exquisite..staff couldnt do enough for you either.

Great Location

The hotel is in a fantastic location, close to shops and restuarants, and the staff were extremely helpful. Overall a really nice place to stay.

Good Location, Great Service

Pros: The location, great service and the fact that it has a limited number of villas. No crowds and nice and private. No louts or Yahoos ....
Cons: Perhaps providing pool towel's to the rooms with pools ....
Location: Great location close to the shopping strip but far enough away from Kuta to avoid the louts. Handy to Restaurant's and bars and the beach close by.
This was our second stay at Blue Karma. It is located close to the shopping strip and Restaurants etc but once you enter the resort you could be in another private and peaceful world. I left my glasses in a Taxi when I returned one day. I thought I would never get them back. It turns out the Security guy out the front records all vehicle movements and rego numbers etc. The staff at the desk made numerous phone calls chasing up the taxi driver who returned my expensive spectacles the next morning. I was very grateful and impressed with their efforts and commitment. When we got tired of eating out every night and roaming among the crowds, we stayed in and had drinks and dinner at the resort a couple of times. The food and service was terrific and the cost was much less than we expected as Hotel food is normally very expensive. The breakfasts were excellent as well with a good range of choices available. If anyone complains in any reviews about the breakfasts, perhaps they can never be pleased .... Both times we have stayed there we have had a villa with a plunge pool. This is highly recommended as there is nothing nicer than to be able to hop straight into a private pool to cool down when you return from being out and about and it is lovely to just soak and drink Bintang's in the pool on a balmy evening

Lovely stay

Cons: In our open-air bathroom, the towel rack wasn't undercover so our towels got wet. The sliding door was also hard to open in the middle of the night.
The resort is really nice - very helpful staff, fantastic pool and gardens, the two-bedroom villa we stayed in was great. The location is fairly central, easy distance to shops and the beach and a cheap cab ride away from everywhere else. Breakfast was tasty, though we were expecting more of a buffet style. Would definitely recommend it, and would love to go back!

Blue karma

Pros: Pool
Cons: Service,breakfast,new air con,lower hotel and meal prices,different music
Location: Bintang at 35000 a talley,
When you look at this hotel online it looks a lot bigger it's actually small. It's in good location near shops and restaurants. It's very noisey from all the pasting traffic. The breakfast was just ok. The hotels basically a heap of villas around a pool,for $250 a night we paid I would of expected a bit more and better service. They play classical music all day around pool,I asked can the play some Bali music (o no we don't have) which did my head in after 2 days. I think this is a ok hotel but is way overpriced and I will not return to this one.
