If you’re a light sleeper don’t try this hotel.. Creeking floor boards, thin walls and noisy banging doors will keep you awake. Tired chain hotel with average rooms, dripping taps and broken shower hose. Nice location though…

Lovely room, friendly staff and ticked all the boxes for an overnight stay for work in Bath. Lovely old building which gave a quirkiness that I prefer over a modern, purpose built hotel. High ceilings, sloping floors and beautiful wooden beams. My room had a very comfortable bed and stylish furnishings. And the staff were friendly and helpful. Decor is a little tired and some of the food choices on the menu weren’t available on the night I stayed. Would book again

Staff were great and very friendly. Property is a little tired and needs some mending and painting but for a nights stay close to Bath it was excellent value.

We checked in and they insisted we pay before we see the room, we now know why. Dirty, unclean rooms, marked tea cups. Bathroom door did not shut nor did shower cubical, door off runners. Noisy and had a musty smell. We nearly didnt stay but were 3 hrs away from home

Don't like cold showers
The hotel itself is decent enough. Room comfortable, but no hot water in the shower in the morning. Reported to reception and met with the standard "I do apologise" which roughly translated means "oh well, not much you can do about that now". Poor.
