Close to the waterfront of Auckland

Pros: Size of the rooms, convenience to waterfront
Location: Restaurants of waterfront a 5 minute walk away
Large comfortable room, excellent gym facility, friendly helpful front desk staff and Bellboy

Excellent hotel and location

Room is very comfortable wuth a nice big bath and bath robes. The valet parking is $45 but it us worth it especially due to the massive construction work happening in Auckland's streets, would be very hard to find a reasonable car park in town. The buffet breakfast is a bit disapppinting and lacking in variety but good overall.

Beautiful hotel, very centrally located

Pros: Central, clean tidy, spacious rooms and bathrooms
Cons: See above re- noise by bed - internet connection??
We had a great stay at Stamford Plaza. The only niggly issue was a faint noise we could here while in bed - it sounded like the internet trying to connect all of the time - not sure what this was but it did get annoying when trying to sleep. Apart from that we couldn't fault this hotel

It was my wife who stayed who said she had a lovely time. The room was comfortable, the hotel was clean and the facilities were fantastic. Will definitely stay again.

Central Retreat

Pros: 1. The gym/pool area 2. Service-service-service 3. Best Valet service ever received.
Cons: Nothing - but a complimentary chocolate in the room would have been an exceptional extra and highly prized after a long trip.
Location: Nearby are the Queen Street Shops, Auckland Art Gallery, ferry boat terminal to Devonport and outer islands, the Viaduct Harbour for restaurants.
I loved the immediate attention from the valet who took care of my car and helped with my bags to reception. Reception was quick to organise my room keys and gave me details for breakfast and the gym/ pool on level 10. The hotel's location was perfect with Queen Street shops a couple of minutes walk just around the corner and again an easy stroll to the ferry and viaduct restaurants for dinner. I utilised the gym, pool, spa and sauna in the evening and loved the provision of extra towels, the spaciousness and skyline view of the recreation area. The hotel full breakfast was superb in the morning after a great nights sleep - awesome bedding - The valet had my car back in 5 minutes in perfect condition and helped with my luggage on departure. This is now my preferred Auckland Hotel by a long shot. The service was fabulous!

Great central location

Location: Short stroll to the harbour and to Queen Street.
From,check in to check out the staff were friendly and helpful, the rooms were very well maintained, definitely recommend this as a place to stay when in Auckland

Great hotel in the city

My only disappointment was the breakfast, which was a let down compared with other high end hotels. Otherwise our stay was perfect.
