Victorian Bed and Breakfast

Loved staying with Judy and her staff at her lovely Victorian Era Bed and Breakfast. Located in beautiful Devonport a few steps away from dining, shopping, the beach and ferry shuttle into Auckland. Customers need to know that this is a B&B. Be prepared for stairs, both upon entrance to the front door and again, if having second floor accommodations. The breakfast was wonderful set in her beautiful dining room. Met, and enjoyed talking to several other guests during our leisurely breakfast. Wonderful stay.

It was a wonderful place situated in a handy location. A little piece of English heritage shared, thank you.

A special place

Pros: Attention to all the details and the effort made to make our stay as enjoyable as possible.
Cons: I cannot think of anything needing improvement.
Location: Devonport is a quaint little town only 12 minutes by ferry from downtown Auckland. Excellent restaurants, boutique theatre, waterfront walkways.
We had a lovely stay at the Peace and Plenty Inn. The breakfast was delicious, friendly staff including the charming little cocker spaniel that was a welcome addition to a lovely home. The house is gorgeously kept and stunningly decorated in period style. Super comfortable bed and every detail was luxurious. So close to the ferry and downtown Devonport. An amazing place.

Classically decorated villa on Auckland harbour

Pros: Clean, well appointed rooms, stable wi-fi, good power points, comfortable beds
A fantastic place to stay, in the centre of beautiful Devonport which is a short ferry ride to the Auckland CBD. We stayed in 2 different rooms, the Garden room and the Flagstaff room. Both were extremely comfortable and well presented. Judy makes a lovely breakfast every morning and is a wealth of knowledge about the area. Don't forget to take her dog, Cooper, for a walk while you're there !

Handy for the ferry, easy to find. Room clean, but en suite very small and cramped and our room was quite noisy being by the front door. Judy was friendly and helpful and the breakfast was good. All in all a comfortable and convenient place to stay.

Superbly located and charming.... A real treat!

Pros: Gorgeous landscaping. The house is full of character, charm and elegance.
Location: Judy has negotiated discounts in most of the nearby restaurants. Great and easy proximity to the ferry back over to the city.
I thoroughly enjoyed my stay here and left feeling most refreshed and that I had made a new friend in Judy. For lovers of Victoriana, a stay at this most elegant venue should definitely be on your bucket list. The breakfasts are fantastic, my room was clean, comfortable and well appointed, and the company of Cooper on some of my walks was appreciated too. I did not participate in a high tea unfortunately as timing did not allow but from what I could tell that is an experience equally not to be missed. Gorgeous toiletries provided, and I am in favour of the organic and green ethos of the place also.
