You get what you pay for - the location was very central and surrounded by many dining options. However upon arrival we found the sliding door would not lock - we were moved into another room and once again this sliding door would not lock - we used a bit of kiwi ingenuity involving a coat hanger and coin to help the situation.

Unfortunately not a ibis hotel Cheap and nasty back packer.Caravan size toilet shower all in one with shower curtain 1940s. Small double bed but was comfortable only redeeming feature. Very noisy no sound insulation. I thought I was booking a ibis hotel not an old converted office/ broom storage room. I wouldn't used it for linen storage cupboard and I worked in the Industry as a houseman when I was younger. I rkon the whole block will be demolished.cheers Shane

I travel a lot for business in New Zealand & pay significantly less for a more premium hotel stay. I understand this is a major city. But seriously this hotel in desperate need of an upgrade before it can warrant this kind of payment charges
