Not as nice as it looks!

Looks incredible but they cut corners on the stuff you don't see till later. The bath plug leaked at a pretty quick rate. Mini bar wasn't topped up during the day (only stayed 2 nights). Only have a pool no spa. Have stayed in nicer hotels in Auckland that I would suggest to friends instead. Staff are amazing and the hotel bar is nice.

Quality Hotel with Quality Service

Pros: quality service from Staff and everything was excellent gym pool and club room services
Cons: some elements to the breakfast buffet could have been fresher
Location: Close to sky city, restaurants, shopping and queen st
From our arrival we were not disappointed, quality service from Staff and everything was excellent, we enjoyed the slight walk into queen st, but location was perfect as well the, gym pool and club room services. We'll be back for sure!

Clean, modern hotel central to the city

Pros: Spacious, clean rooms. Friendly, helpful staff. Valet staff were the best I've ever dealt with and so quick to help. Concierge were also so helpful.
Cons: Nothing
Location: Close to central city. 5 minute walk to Federal Street.
Staff were amazing. So helpful and lovely to deal with. The layout of this hotel is great and it has a fantastic atmosphere as well. I've stayed at many central city hotels in Auckland and this one is by far my favourite. My room (Superior King) was spacious, very clean and comfortable.

Handy location, minor issues disappointed

Pros: Location was good and staff were helpful and friendly.
Cons: We had "housekeeping" issues. Never given enough towels. Double bed had single duvet inner and was not replaced despite my request to change it.
Location: Handy to Aotea Square and Queen Street.
Staff were friendly and helpful. Location was great. Bathroom facilities seemed a little dated and tired. Housekeeping issues were disappointing - Our room had 2 double beds with 4 people staying....but during our 3 night stay we were never given enough towels and we continually had to chase up more towels. There were also not enough mugs, glasses etc which was a little disappointing (considering the price we paid for the room!) Our double bed had a single sized duvet inner - this was not enough to cover the bed when people were under it....this meant I was cold at night - when I left a note for housekeeping to change it, there was no action - they just removed my note. I thought this was very disappointing. I also find it very antiquated when a hotel places a hold on your credit card for the price of the room...plus another $200 for incidentals!

Lovely stay

Cons: It is the same with every hotel I stay in... better lighting... Every light on and still dark...
Location: Location was good.. Quiet. A bare 5 minute walk to Sky Tower; 20 minute walk to Britomart
A lovely hotel. It was all I could get as every man and his dog (and me) were attending the Adele concert. Easy check in and check out. Lovely friendly staff.

Nice hotel with great facilities

Cons: Landline had a poor connection to the 'switchboard".
Can walk to most places from here,but there is a big hill to get back. I like the hotel and the staff are friendly, proficient & helpful.

They sold my pre-paid room!

I booked and prepaid for 2 nights. I arrived to check in at 7am to find that they had resold my room because I failed to check in at 3pm the day before and was told they were fully booked. After being awake for 24 hours from an overseas flight I was not one bit happy as they'd taken my money and double dipped by reselling the room. I made a fuss and they managed to find a twin room we could sleep in for a few hours before our booked room was ready. No apology was made, no compliments offered. The desk staff were bordering on rude, but the young man who moved our bags from one room to the next was a delight. The hotel is in a good, convenient location with an easy walk to SkyCity. The amenities are reasonably good, but the beds are uncomfortable and not what I'd expect from 4.5 stars. The only thing I recommend about this hotel is the Japanese restaurant within it, which was truly excellent. To hotel management: If you want to have a policy where checkin is at 3pm only, and not from 3pm (some places stipulate check in is 3pm to 9pm for example), you need to advertise that, otherwise it is absolutely unacceptable to resell a room.

Disappointed with your sky channel choice

Good locality, very disappointed with sky channel choice . The night was a present for my husbands birthday who is an avid tennis fan. Could not even watch this on our return from dinner. Unbelievable for a 4.5 star hotel. Unfortunately our room looked on to a dirty car park for $300 dollars I don't think that's good. We are definitely not hard to please people but we were disappointed . Regards Michelle.

Good location near the city

Nice hotel close to city but very tired decor. Our swipe card did not seem to work in certain elevators and on our hotel room door - even after changing it twice - which was a little annoying. Breakfast buffet very disappointing. I would recommend walking to Bestie Cafe up on KRd or somewhere in town instead to get good food.
