I didn't stay here the room was disgusting. Filthy

Location: Not much, a few dodgy characters around that area of Auckland, but i was aware of that.
My experience was extremely bad. I did not stay. The reception staff were rude and treated me like an idiot. I was in Auckland on business and as i did not take my handbag i had no photo id with me. The manager treated me like a criminal, he put a $250 imprint on my credit card...what for there is no minibar or restaurant at this place. The room was not made up. It was filthy, broken light, phone not connected. the bed had stains on it and was up against the wall. My company has paid for this accommodation which i did not use, I want a refund. I have tried to contact Wotif to talk to a person to explain my experience. Photos attached will show you how disgusting this room was. Bianco off Queen and Wotif are misrepresenting this hotel, and misleading the public . The photos on the website do not in any way represent the room that was allocated to me. I am putting formal complaint in to the Hotel Association and also to the Consumer rights of New Zealand. My itinerary stated that i had booked a Superior room with a king size bed. The beds were single beds put up against the wall. Someone needs to ring me to sort my refund urgently !!!

Stay here about 8 years ago and feel it has gone down hill since then. We had a studio room which had a large window with no blind or curtainand was very unhappy about that. There was no air condition so we have to have windows open and there is currently a lot of construction going on nearly by so was very loud. So we don't get our much need hoilday sleep ins. There was a few things in the room than need some maintenance also. After this experience I won't be staying here again.

We will not be staying at this hotel again

Pros: No comment
Cons: The room needs updating the photo,s online are misleading.
Location: Not far to walk to downtown Auckland but because of the suspect people around the hotel - not desirable place for families.
Not very friendly service when we checked in. We were unaware of the $ 250 bond & did not get it returned for 4 days. Minimalistic amount of glasses crockery & cutlery.

Queen size bed..?

The hotel was average at best. What i found disappointing though was the fact that the 'Queen size' bed was actually two mattresses stuck together. I dare say you'd never mention that little detail in the adverts. The staff were fine. Facilities OK. Comfort obviously disappointing.

Don’t stay here

Photo is deceptive. The hotel stars were awarded by themselves. It’s not off Queen st, it is down a alley and faces backs of buildings, and has a brothel next door. Doors with holes in them, walls worn and scuffed. Furniture looks worn and isn’t comfortable for even 10secs of use (beds and couch). This place wouldn’t give my money back after I found out how bad it was. They are scumbags and their hotel is a dive.

Pros: Staff were helpful when you could get to them
Cons: Darker curtains and more staff
Location: Good location
Under staffed at reception and the room is run down. The curtains are to light and it is hard to sleep. Parking is tight and hard to get around.

Never stay here

Booked requesting two single beds- was a king bed, asked staff to seperate which they did but single bed was broken, they werent able to repair that night and expected me to sleep in bed as it was. we moved mattress onto kitchen floor. they "upgraded" us the next night but still had to get them to come and make bed into two singles. Rooms very very small, climbing over beds to get to the table. internet on 4th floor was terrible when we moved it did work well but the bathroom fan didnt and it was extremely hot in the bathroom. hotel handy off queen street but i did not feel safe walking between the hotel entrance and queen street. Night porter/housekeeper was wonderful, couldnt have been more helpful and if you struck the right receptionist she was good.

Good location

It was great location to stay but some places weren’t clearn enough especially around Water flow.

Poor management ruins the potential of this apartm

Nice little apartment close to the centre of Auckland, sadly spoilt by a lack of maintenance and care by management. In our apartment, the fridge, washing machine and dishwasher didn’t work, one single bed had a broken leg (so sloped down hill), tiles in the kitchen were broken, curtains torn in a number of places. The pull out couch bed was so old and uncomfortable that our son elected to sleep on the floor instead. Numerous complaints to reception are met with a small shrug and smile, although they did manage to get the dishwasher working on day 3, and offer to move our room on day 3. Conversations with other guests, some of whom had moved rooms 3 times in a 5 day stay, showed this was probably pointless as it seems to be a systemic problem. Management were continuously “in a meeting” and never called back. Wouldn’t recommend this hotel to anyone, and it makes Worif look bad that they continue to list it.
