Amazing nights stay, after a wedding at Waterfall.

Pros: The closeness to Waterfall Gully.

Not meeting expectations

The front desk was unmanned most of the time. We had to search for the staff to checkout. Our aircon also leaked and we had to look for staff to communicate the leak. We were promised that someone would take a look, either move us into another room OR at least put towels in. No one took a look, we weren't moved and we had to put blankets as the leak was sooo bad. It was a good thing we were checking out the following day. We had to wait 20mins because there was no staff at the desk for checkout. The bar downstairs was also very loud and we could hear the noise in our room.

Pleasing experience

Pros: The staff were very helpful and not too busy to assist in my queries which I can not speak more highly of them.
Cons: Maybe the décor in the room could be updated a little. Give bathroom a scrub as the mould was noticeable but it was still ok for me to shower.
Location: The location was good as it was easy to navigate around.
I can not speak more highly of their staff. They were very helpful with my room and then a table for dinner. The service was the highlight for me which made it a pleasing experience and one to remember.

Convenient central location

Pros: Love the old world style front bar. Retro decor is beautiful, and a lovely atmosphere. Service in front bar is excellent, polite and friendly.
Cons: Sack the young rude girl in the beer garden. Rude, grumpy, obviously hates her job.
Location: Excellent central location with great pubs nearby.
When we arrived to check in, we did not get greeted with a smile, not even a "Hello". The Proprietor/Manager did not acknowledge us when we were waiting at the check in, until about 5 mins. Eventually, he asked what name we were under, and asked to sign in. He was straight to the point. Not rude, but not exactly friendly.

Very convenient

Lovely sheets. Just tricky for an old person going up and down stairs. The room was clean and quaint. It was very convenient as we attended a function downstairs.

Good hotel with plenty of off-street parking

Pros: It was quiet, pleasant and has good parking.
Cons: There was no microwave or toaster, and the room looked old.
I had a very pleasant stay. Downstairs facilities have been updated and are very good. The rooms are showing their age but are quite adequate and clean.

Great food, nice and clean hotel

Pros: The menu and different eating spaces
Cons: Rooms need refitting and TV could include netflix or cable tv.
Location: I was at a conference. There are some cheaper alternate food options nearby. I did a lot of walking and there is a nice park nearby. Not much exploring
Well the rooms have been redecorated since the 1960's and the room is quaint... the rooms are small. There is an ensuite bathroom with shower. The cupboards and fittings are all original. The noise factor at night from the pub below and the road outside are something to consider- double glazing could be a good option for the future. The winding staircase is lovely but a bit of a haul for the cases to the second floor. A lovely young man did haul for me. So service is good. Food is great.
