Hey, we understand why you’re so in love with Sydney. One look at the Sydney Opera House and that’s all you need. But we’re thinking of another city to the north we think you’d thoroughly enjoy. The capital of Queensland, to be exact. Maybe you’re travelling for business, maybe for pleasure. Maybe both! The flight is only an hour and a half, so you’ll barely have time to make a dent in that book you’re working on.
Ready to go? So are we. Check out Wotif’s great offers on Sydney to Brisbane flights and send us a postcard when you get there.
Sydney Airport (SYD), about 12 km from downtown, is where your trek north will begin. There are three passenger terminals that serve 52 airlines, Qantas and Virgin among them. Missed breakfast this morning? No worries! SYD has plenty of dining options, like authentic Asian cuisine, healthy salad cafes and fast-food chains.
Your Sydney to Brisbane flight will land at Brisbane Airport (BNE), about 18 km from the city centre. You can grab a cab from the taxi rank located directly in front of the domestic terminal, or take the Brisbane City bus line straight from BNE to the central business district. Not into the bus? Ride the AirTrain straight into the city. If none of those appeal to you, get a vehicle from Wotif’s Brisbane car hire options and drive yourself!
BNE has you covered when it comes time to fly home, too. It has two passenger terminals and serves 26 airlines. This place has plenty of shopping and snacking options to keep you busy. Hop on the TBus and take the quick 10-minute ride to Skygate, a big marketplace loaded with restaurants, bars and retail stores. An extra five minutes down the road takes you to Golf Central BNE, where you can practice your stroke on the driving range.
