Aussies are planning to spend any extra cash from interest rate cuts and budget bonuses on travel, according to a new survey by travel website Wotif.com.
More than 90% of Aussies surveyed said they would spend any extra windfall from recent interest rate cuts on a holiday.
Wotif.com Brand General Manager Megan Magill said beach destinations were the pick for a budget-conscious holiday.
“More than 25% of Aussies told us they’d use their extra cash for a holiday on the Gold Coast and 24% said they’d head to Thailand to save money on their next getaway,” Ms Magill said.
