Walcha Royal Accommodation

Walcha Royal Accommodation

Take a step back in time….. Royal Café and Accommodation Built in 1889 as the Royal Hotel, this magnificent building was gutted by fire on the 28th August 1938. Later on that year the building was rebuilt and named the New Royal Hotel. The property changed hands and became known as a bakehouse. The now current owners, Brad Keable and Toni Heaney, purchased the property in December 2006 and converted the hotel to a hip 60’s style café and B&B. Dine either inside the chic café, on the veranda or alfresco under the magnificent willow tree.

The rule of thumb is:
1. Always bring a jumper to Walcha
2. In the winter, always be prepared for one of those very cold snaps especially if you are intending to venture outside (ie. warm socks, clothes, beanie, warm coat and gloves) the great thing about the cold is being able to get warm by the log fire with a mug of hot coffee, hot chocolate or homemade soup!!

We hope you enjoy your visit.
