KINTAMANI
For our guests who love the beauty and perfection of nature, we recommend Kintamani’s beautiful landscape. This lovely area is located just 20 minutes drive north of the chedi, a fantastic lake view surrounded by a green valley and a spectacular volcano. For a closer look at the lake, drive only 10 minutes further down the valley. Soft mountain breezes will welcome you and your colleagues while you enjoy the beautiful up close view- in-paradise. Across the lake there is an original bali age (Balinese tribal) village called “ Truyan “ with a population of approximately 60 villagers. These people live apart from the Balinese from the common Hindu found in Bali ( for example they do not cremate or bury their dead ). Instead their dead are laid out on top of the ground and covered with only mamboo poles ). The lake, called Batur lake, is the largest lake in bali.

TEGALALANG
It is a most beautiful rice terraces in Bali. These lush rice terraces, shaped in a very unique structure, are one of Tegallalang’s most interesting sites. The graceful rice terraces are created by local farmers who follow the natural shape of the land. It is a very beautiful and lovely place even more so during the harvest. You can also find many different kinds of wood carving in this area.

Tampaksiring is known for its natural springs. In Tampaksiring there are five pools that are filled directly from surroundings springs. Three of the pools are believed to be holy pools. The Balinese believe that they can take the holy water to bless their new cars. The other two pools are used as public bathroom for local people and also for bathing. The water is cold and fresh. It is so clear you can see the bottom of the pool and the force of the water flowing from the ground into the pool. This water flows continuously throughout the year.

One of the most traditional items, still used and maintained by Balinese, is tropical herbs. there are more then 20 kinds of herbs used by Balinese in their daily cooking.

GOA GAJAH
Goa Gajah, situated just south of the road between Ubud and Gianyar, is clearly indicated by a concentration of curio shops. Goa Gajah dates back to the eleventh century and there are conflicting opinions about whether this cave was originally Buddhist or Hindu hermitage. Although not very large, it boasts some interesting carving. In front of intricately carved cave is an intensive watering place which was discovered some years ago. The local people believe this water to be holy water. Even to day, there still exists a legend among the villagers that the cave was carved by a powerful king called “kebo iwa“.
