uShaka Marine world
At the start of Durban's Golden Mile and spanning over 14 hectares of stunning beach front stands uShaka Marine World. The re-creation of a 1930s shipwreck dominates the view with incredible wild water rides and slides, a world famous aquarium, an impressive dolphin show, varied restaurants, shopping in uShaka Village Walk and of course recreation on the beach.

Authentic Spices make a good curry. Shop for Zulu hand-crafts and customary artwork at the beachfront market. gently amble for hours browsing the Durban beachfront market. The market specializes in excellent handmade customary beadwork goods and basketry for sale at outstanding prices.
Natal Sharks Board
A visit to the Sharks Board in Umhlanga is a must. Situated in Umhlanga Rocks off the North coast is a family favorite where you can observe multimedia shows on the day to day work done by the Sharks Board in addition to the integral function sharks and other fish play in the marine ecology. This is followed by a 20 minute shark dissection.
Botanical Gardens
Take pleasure in an Afternoon tea in the Botanical Gardens. On the eastern slopes of the Berea edge lays the Durban's Botanical grounds. It originally began as a location for growing untried tropical crops; today however it offers a herbarium, a Cycad compilation, an orchid house, a garden for the blind and a charity tea garden.
