The Original Gold Rush Colony at Mogo (formerly Old Mogo Town) is an authentically recreated 1850s Gold Rush era village, nestled on the banks of three small secluded lakes and surrounded by State Forest. This unique location gives you the opportunity to experience early colonial Australia from the comfort of your modern cabin.
Our accommodation settlement, across the three lakes from the 1850s village, offers you a range of accommodation styles with all the creature comforts and facilities for a peaceful and relaxing stay in a historical setting.

At The Original Gold Rush Colony we operate a multi award winning Heritage Tourist Park which is open to the public every day. With our recreated 1850s gold rush village, panning for gold and four daily tours, you can step back in time and have a hands-on experience of how our pioneer prospectors lived and worked. Free entry for guests in our accommodation.
