Marlborough countryside is blessed with striking beauty, and the region offers some of the most beautiful scenery New Zealand has to offer. The Sounds offer some popular holiday spots, as well as unpopulated and pristine bays to explore.
Marlborough is also the largest wine growing region in New Zealand with nearly 70 wineries. The region is most famous for its Sauvignon Blanc but other varietals grown are: Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, Riesling, Pinot Gris, Gewurztraminer and Methode Champonoir are now becoming well established.

- Hard to find. Not clear that checkin is at the Mercure.

Thanks for the review and glad you enjoyed your stay. At The Moorings we do not have Kayaks we hire out - you may want to contact the operator regarding the faulty Kayak (hope you managed to stay dry!)
