The Gold Coast's Surfers Paradise is a world-class holiday destination, famous for its golden sandy beaches, safe swimming spots, sublime weather, iconic Meter Maids and close proximity to endless entertainment options. You'll experience all of this, plus extra luxurious perks, when you stay in one of our fantastic Surfers Paradise resorts.
Things to Do
Hit the beach and soak up the sunny rays, while swimming in the safe swimming beaches, patrolled by the famous Surf Life Savers, in their iconic red and yellow uniforms. You can hire surf boards, body boards and jet skis from the beachside vendors or you can just grab some takeaway and have a picnic on the shore.
Besides the glorious beach activities, another major drawcard to Surfers Paradise is its shopping precincts. Many big name designer brands (like Prada and Gucci) can be found here and most of the malls and arcades are open every night until late, so you'll be able to shop until you drop as long as your credit card allows it. On Wednesday, Friday and Sunday nights between 4:00 and 9:00pm you'll also be able to browse the stalls of the Surfers Paradise Beachfront Markets, where you can pick up some one-of-a-kind accessories, art pieces and beauty products.
If you're nursing a tender sunburn, or just want a break from the beach and shops, there are plenty of fun attractions you can visit, such as: Ripley's Believe it or Not!, the Timezone arcade, the 270m high Q1 Skypoint Climb and Observation Deck, Dracula's Haunted House, the interactive illusion-house of Infinity, and lots of ten pin bowling centres.
After all that activity, you're bound to be ravenous. Luckily for you, Surfers Paradise restaurants offer just about every cuisine you can think of, from fine dining experiences right through to casual eateries and humble fish 'n' chip shops, so you won't have any trouble finding something to satisfy your appetite. When it comes to partying, Orchid Avenue is the best place for night owls, with a huge range of bars and nightclubs open until the wee hours of the morning.
