The seasons of Japan can be enjoyed from this calm city oasis, before the hustle and bustle of thriving shopping districts beckon you again. Glittering skyscrapers, neon lights, noisy markets, giant plasma screens and karaoke bars - Tokyo has it all, and this area is awash with enough entertainment palaces and restaurants to keep you occupied for a lifetime. Fancy hiring bicycle and taking to the city streets Tokyo style? Friendly staff at the City Hotel N.U.T.S will be only too happy to help. And if you are a business visitor in urgent need of a PC, you can even hire a computer from reception too! Step outside the hotel door and you'll find every kind of restaurant to whet your palate. The efficient on-site laundry service is great if you're planning a longer stay, and ensures that you look as good on the outside as you feel inside. The west side of Shinjuku, a seismically stable area that escaped the last earthquake with nary a scratch, is Tokyo's skyscraper district featuring (among others) the gargantuan Tokyo Metropolitan Government Offices. Microsoft has a major office (with an imposing sign) just across the street from the south exit of the station. The east side of Shinjuku is devoted to shopping and nightlife, including Tokyo's largest red-light district Kabukicho and gay nightlife central Shinjuku ni-chome. *MUSEUM NOGUSHI HIDEYO MUSEUM Meiji Memorial Picture Gallery This gallery is located at the end of an avenue of ginkgo trees, a popular stroll, and houses paintings associated with Emperor Meiji and Empress Dowager Shoken.
