Biloela is only an hour's flight from Brisbane, less than two hours' drive to Rockhampton (which is only half an hour from the Capricorn Coast), and closer to Gladstone and its nearby beaches.
Lake Callide, popular for fishing and water skiing, is just a ten minute drive from Biloela, with picnic tables and barbeque facilities.
A picnic lunch at Junction Park, Theodore, at the junction of Dawson River and Castle Creek; The old Butter Factory at Wowan, transformed into an historical museum; A picnic by the Dee River at Dululu, and a dip in Gullivers Waterhole.
