Wanaka is a very special place and Riverrun is a special place from which to explore it. The lodge is set on an escarpment with unobstructed views of New Zealand's Southern Alps from every room. Designed by a local architect, the reclaimed hardwood timber and beams used in the lodge construction give the guest accommodation and living areas a sense of warmth, intimacy and history. Richly polished jarrah floors extend throughout both lounges, historic wharf timbers and massive railway beams show century old adze work.
