The Peninsula Waterfront Retreat is situated on a small headland on the shores of the Whangamata Harbour in the Coromandel Peninsula, this large lodge styled home with 1.5 acres of tropical gardens, swimming pool, and tennis court makes for the perfect holiday getaway.
Do as little or as much as you please, kayaking, fishing, tennis, coastal walks, golf or simply lounging by the pool. Ever changing views down the harbour and over forested hills provide a secluded paradise.
Private guest accommodation is located in the west wing of the retreat.

The Peninsula Waterfront Retreat is the perfect place to relax and enjoy a range of activities including tennis, petanque, mountain biking, kayaking and swimming in the private pool area. A short drive takes you to pristine sandy beaches for surfing and boogie boarding, scenic walks in the forested hills can be enjoyed or visit the township of Whangamata for its café culture and shopping.
Offshore the waters are a delight for anglers and scuba divers. We can arrange an excursion aboard the retreat's skippered vessel where you can experience the thrill of catching fish, try snorkelling, swim in the crystal clear water or perhaps enjoy a scenic cruise to a secluded beach for a picnic. Water sports including water skiing, tubing and skurfing can also be enjoyed in the sheltered waters of the harbour.
Whangamata is the perfect base to plan day trips around the Coromandel Peninsula. Visit Hot Water Beach where you can dig your own spa pool for a natural soak in the thermal waters or take a scenic walk to famous Cathedral Cove, one of the Coromandel Peninsula’s best known beauty spots. Hahei, Whitianga, Thames and Waihi are all within an hour's drive. We can recommend excursions to suit your tastes or arrange a local guide to accompany you for the day.
