Whilst we have the Merriwa Park right next door, Wangaratta has many other peaceful parks and gardens for you to enjoy, including the fragrant Wangaratta Rose Garden.
If you are feeling active, why not complete the Murray to the Mountains Rail Trail. Walk or cycle along the historical railway lines through the Ovens Valley from Wangaratta to Bright. The Rail Trail passes through a changing landscape rich in history, with numerous riverside picnic spots and presents ample opportunities to indulge in local produce.

- We were made to feel welcome from the onset, and nothing was any trouble for our hosts. we will be back !!!
- Only negative was that we couldn't stay longer than we did !!!!
- Magnificent views over park. Could not get any more central to town, but was very quiet.
