Back in Vancouver, you can take a ferry across False Creek to Granville Island, with its lively indoor market, coffee shops, restaurants and bars, then head over to Vancouver's Chinatown to experience the jostling street markets. Further attractions worth visiting are Vancouver Maritime Museum and Vancouver Art Gallery.

Two examples of the courses are the University Golf Club, which has a tree-lined fairway and a par of 72, or Furry Creek, which is a challenging course with a spectacular setting and views, made to the Robert Muir Graves design.

Museum of Anthropology
On the Point Grey Cliffs, you will find the Museum of Anthropology, displaying some of the world's finest art from the First Nations. The museum sports the world's largest collection of works by the internationally acclaimed Haida artist Bill Reid. Within the museum you will also find the Koerner Ceramics Gallery, which displays a large collection of European ceramics; also featured are specially commissioned textiles and ceramics produced by local artists.
Capilano Suspension Bridge and Park
Ten minutes' drive from the bustle of downtown Vancouver will take you to the Capilano Suspension Bridge and Park. Escape from the city and take a walk across a 450-foot hemp rope and cedar plank bridge that sits an awe-inspiring 230 feet above the rushing waters of the Capilano River. Experience the new Treetops Adventure.

Vancouver Aquarium - Canada's Pacific National Aquarium. Their award-winning galleries show you the real-life adventure of the world below. 5 minutes drive by car, or 20 minute walk along the seawall.
Grouse Mountain - panoramic vistas of the city, sea and mountains from the top of this mountain, reachable by Skyride transport. 25 minute drive by car.
Science World - hundreds of interactive exhibits; permanent galleries devoted to biology, earth sciences and physics. 10 minute ride on the Skytrain.
Bard on the Beach - Western Canada's largest professional Shakespeare Festival. June through September.
