Sanda House B&B (1840)Heritage listed in Orford on the sunny east coast of Tas. Made of sandstone and fieldstone,it is furnished with family antiques, all rooms have the original stone walls and it has a wonderful ambience. We offer Q size &twin rooms with private facilities, elec blankets, heating, TV. B'fast is in the dining room in front of the fire. Max 9 people.Home made jams and bread, good coffee, cereal, yoghurt, fruit. We have an acre of garden filled with natives, roses, bulbs and a vegetable patch.

Check out the convict history.Take a walk on the old convict road along the river. A 10 min forest walk from Sanda to long,empty, white sandy beaches. Do a circumnavigation of Maria Island and a tour of the old settlement. Take the ferry to Maria Island Nat Park. Visit Darlington Winery, swimming,(bring your wetsuit), walks, fishing, golf, bowls, bird watching. Fish and chips on the beach. Sit in the garden, listen to the silence, read, feel the tension drain away. Get up early and watch the sunrise over Maria Island from the beach.
