THE KASUNANAN PALACE
The two century old palace of King Paku Buwono built in 1745 by Paku Buwono II features traditional Javanese architectures with the famous ?Panggung Songgo Buwono?, the Tower of the Universe. It is now open to the public and has many points of interest, including a tour of the Palace it-self as well as the Art Gallery exhibiting royal heirlooms, Various Javanese weapons, antique statues, and many other valuable artifacts, relics and art works. Open from 9 am to 2 pm.

PURO MANGKUNEGARAN
The royal residence of Prince Mangkunegoro, built in 1866 by Mangkunegoro I, features classical Javanese architecture called Joglo, a complete collection of artistic masks, heirlooms, wayang golek, wooden puppets, handicrafts, classical Javanese musicals Instruments, as well as antiques jewelry, and weapons. Open to public from 9 am to 2 pm.

TRADITIONAL MARKETS IN SOLO
Triwindu Antique Market is an open market in the centre of town near the Puro Mangkunegaran Palace offers a wide array of antique statues, lamps, porcelain objects, toys and other treasures. Pasar Klewer is the biggest batik and textile market in Indonesia offers an opportunity for visitors to meet mingle with the local people while shopping for exotic bargains.

WURYANINGRATAN BATIK GALLERY
Solo is already known as batik centre. Batik Craft is a traditional form, which has been practiced for centuries. They produce materials for traditional and national dress as well as for other purposes. WURYANIGRATAN BATIK GALLERY, also known as Danar Hadi Batik Museum, located in the main street, Jl. Slamet Riyadi No:261 features an old batik motifs, batik processing both hand made and special stamps, and also Batik Shop.

TEMPLES AROUND SOLO
