Monnington Lodge is a friendly country inn in Blackwood, near Newport. Originally a 16th Century Farmhouse, this quaint building located near the Brecon Beacons is brimming with country charm and a wonderful character, giving you a warm sense of welcome from the moment you arrive. Monnington Lodge began life back in the 16th Century as a farm built and owned by the family of the infamous Captain Henry Morgan and is set in its own grounds overlooking the small town of Blackwood - a short distance from beautiful woodland, and yet within easy reach of the cities of Newport, Cardiff and Bristol.
