Kaikoura is the Eco-Tourism capital of New Zealand. Most tourists come to fulfil a live long dream, to seek Whales in their natural habitat. The Kaikoura coastline is rich and diverse with an abundance of sea life to entertain you, other popular activities include Dolphin & Seal swimming, Bird Watching, Horse Treking, Maori Tours & 4 Wheel Safaris.
Recently, Coastal Kaikoura was voted #7 in AA Tourism "101 Must Do's in New Zealand". This small township has also become the first Community in the World to become Green Globe certified. Reducing it's carbon foot print with ecologically friendly initiatives adopted by the community.
